These scientists are role models to black African American engineering students and their biography is used in multicultural curriculum, Black History Month and History of Science studies. Distinguished African American scientists, inventors, engineers and pioneers who have contributed to black history, the history of science, America, Africa and the world are briefly described. This interview tell the stories of the ingenuity of black scientists, the frustrations of black scientists in a predominately white field and their struggles against racism, ostracism and exile to make positive contribution to society. |
